![]() ![]() ![]() Which is why I’m super curious about the SM20. But have always wanted Two Amplifier‘s House in one headshell Sharing the same power transformer same rectifier. I know it's not as compact or convenient, but you could mix and match your tones as you want.Īll of that said, the Swart stereo heads really have to be heard to be believed. It's effective in person- you can set both amps up differently with the tone and tone shift switches, and the master sets the level.įwiw, if you're talking about wanting two separate master volumes, that's basically just two amps- and you could totally get the swart stereo cab and just get two heads of whatever variety you'd like. I totally get why you might want two masters, but my impression is that the single master lets you set an overall level, while the Volume 1 and 2 let you have control over relative level and drive. It doesn't feel like it's a really hot preamp- I mean, it can drive, but it's not over the top crazy. I can't speak for why Michael Swart designed it why he did, but I will say that I more or less just set the Volume 1 and 2 as I would set two separate amps, and then just put the master at how loud I need to play at. ![]() Which led me to believe that I’m probably just crazy for thinking this way. I did contacted Swart directly A couple years ago and asked these questions and never got a response. I’m Wondering why it is done this way? Also wondering if it is a stacked master volume that could be separated into two with a mod? One rectifier one power transformer two amplifiers. You would be able to run it like two amps….which I would gladly buy. To me if this amp had two master/master volumes it would be a perfect Amplifier. Like my trustee old Fisher tube stereo System but with different tone controls for each side. Apparently two separate amplifiers but only one master volume. With the Swart stereo master 20 it has two input/preamp sections. Send different effects any direction I please, to any plethora of speaker cabinets I choose. because it sounds amazing and I get the diversity of two different sounds that I can switch between or run together. ![]()

![]() ![]() So Dreamcast can use it's memory more effectively in this aspect. Dreamcast has 8MB of dedicated VRAM and it can do texture compression. Textures have to be stored uncompressed in RAM. ![]() PS2 has more Memory that's unified, but it can't do any kind of texture compression. It does when it comes to texturing and how it can handle it's memory. Switching a weapon onto your palette would cause a similar issue. If this wasn't done you could find yourself having no weapon to fight with for about 5-10 seconds while it loaded in. So PS2 players would essentially have to manually go through their weapon palette every time they entered a new area to ensure all their weapons were loaded in. To make matters worse, on PS2 there was horrific loading when switching weapons on your weapon palette for the first time while all the weapons loaded in. You had to place them in an action palette and you only had 6 at a time. You could no longer quickly equip any weapon in your inventory. While PSU did allow 2 more players in a party, there were a few issues that arose with it. This was a huge step back from PSO where we had huge maps with 8 or more enemy types. Texture variety took a hit so instead of having lots of different textures giving a really colorful area, we got a lot of bland and repeating textures.Īnother big step back was that areas were broken up into smaller blocks and each block could only have 3 enemy types. ![]() In some aspects this game took a few steps backwards compared to the original PSO on the Dreamcast. White phosphorus is manufactured industrially, glows in the dark, is spontaneously flammable when exposed to the air above 30☌ and is a deadly poison. Pure phosphorus is obtained by heating a mixture of phosphate rock, coke, and silica to about 1450 ☌. ![]() Elementary phosphorus is liberated as vapor and may be collected under phosphoric acid, an important compound in making super-phosphate fertilizers.įound most often in phosphate rock. By one process, tri-calcium phosphate, the essential ingredient of phosphate rock, is heated in the presence of carbon and silica in an electric furnace or fuel-fired furnace. White phosphorus may be made by several methods. The red modification is fairly stable, sublimes with a vapor pressure of 1 atm at 17C, and is used in the manufacture of safety matches, pyrotechnics, pesticides, incendiary shells, smoke bombs, tracer bullets, etc. It should, however, be handled with care as it does convert to the white form at some temperatures and it emits highly toxic fumes of the oxides of phosphorus when heated. This form does not ignite spontaneously and is not as dangerous as white phosphorus. When exposed to sunlight or when heated in its own vapor to 250oC, it is converted to the red variety, which does not phosphoresce in air as does the white variety. White phosphorus should be kept under water, as it is dangerously reactive in air, and it should be handled with forceps, as contact with the skin may cause severe burns. Exposure to white phosphorus should not exceed 0.1 mg/m3 (8-hour time-weighted average - 40-hour work week). It is very poisonous, 50 mg constituting an approximate fatal dose. It takes fire spontaneously in air, burning to the pentoxide. It is insoluble in water, but soluble in carbon disulfide. White phosphorus has two modifications: alpha and beta with a transition temperature at -3.8oC. Ordinary phosphorus is a waxy white solid when pure it is colorless and transparent. ![]() Phosphorus exists in four or more allotropic forms: white (or yellow), red, and black (or violet). P-red is largely amorphous inorganic polymer, although X-rays have established the existence of several crystalline forms, normally present in a limited extend (<10%w). The colour ranges from the orange to the dark violet depending on molecular weight, particle size and impurities. The term Red-phosphorus (P-red) is used for describing one of the allotropic forms of Phosphorus, obtained by heating White Phosphorus (P-w) at a temperature close to 300C in absence of oxygen. ![]() htm Very good info on physical properties. The reaction may proceed via "phosphorus pentoxide", P4O10. The usial route involves heating a phosphate with sand and carbon in an electric furnace. However there is plenty of phosphorus in phosphate ores and those ores represent the usual source for commercially produced phosphorus. Originally, phosphorus was extracted from urine. ![]() |
